To be the STAR OF YOUR own SHOW

Why is it that so many people miss out on being the star of their own show? There’s been lots of research on this and, yes, some of this may be down to women being generally less aspirational and confident than men. Though it’s also about ALL of us; whatever gender, whatever age, setting ourselves impossibly high standards and then being hard on ourselves by taking too much notice of our negative inner monologue.

I believe it all starts with confidence, which can be knocked in life by not just negative inner monologue but also the external influences around each and every one of us. Whether that’s the feedback from parents, partners, family, friends or business associates believing that they are advising us what and how we should act. It could be the constant images in advertising and social media that inform us of their products which we need in our lives to be complete.
